What is Music Therapy?
Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to address non-musical goals within a therapeutic relationship, provided by a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). These goals may include:

๐ต Social skill-building
๐ต Emotional expression and regulation
๐ต Gross and fine motor coordination
๐ต Language and communication enhancement
To become a Music Therapist, one must complete a bachelorโs degree in Music Therapy, a 1,040-hour clinical internship, and pass the Board Certification Exam administered by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
